Buddha | An Iconic Leader

The birth of Siddhartha took place in northern central India in 567 BC. Originally from the Kshatriya caste, he was raised in the Hindu faith.

Prior to his birth, his mother witnessed a series of visions and his father received prophecies.

According to the prophecies made to his father, he would not be a maharajah but a prominent religious leader.

When he was a child, his father shielded him from the realities of the world.

As a child, Siddhartha lived in comfort, protected from any discomfort.

Channah, his father’s most trusted servant, was his tutor.

The instructions were for him to tutor and guard Siddhartha, as well as teach him to remain vigilant so that Siddhartha would never encounter the realities of life.

For the first time, Siddhartha experienced the realities of life while taking a trip with a servant to a nearby city.

Seeing an old lady bent over with age, a man with leprosy, and a funeral cart carrying a dead body deeply disturbed Siddhartha.

Asked “Why do people suffer” in his “Meaning of Life” question, Siddhartha was unable to answer the question. He was out of his mind. Many hours were spent perusing the Vedas in an attempt to find the answer, but he failed miserably.

By depriving himself of physical pleasures and eating one grain of rice a day, he first tried to follow the path of asceticism. This is. This is in order to find answers to his questions.

Looking for clues to life’s mysteries, he read the Vedas many hours a day.

During this period Siddhartha’s life was very boring and simple.

Siddhartha was almost about to give up when he decided to meditate under a tree for as long as it would take for him to become enlightened.

He spent forty-nine days and nights meditating. On the fiftieth day he awoke.
